One thing that’s always been a major issue with me is hairspray. I hate hate hate it! I hate how sticky it is and I hate how dull, dingy and ratty it makes my locks look. Plus, instead of preserving my hair style, the burst of air from the bottle’s nozzle always ends up messing up my do. But without anything to hold my style, I style my hair, it looks fabulous for two minutes while I stand in front of the mirror and then as soon as I start walking around and living my life, whatever style I’ve managed to achieve falls flat and my hair gets parked behind my ears. Not anymore sista! Thanks to my beautiful stylist at Luxe Lab in LA—thank you Colette!--, I have been introduced to the most awesome, incredible, brilliant hair spray. It’s from a new hair line by Shu Uemura (the folks that invented that amazing eyelash curler). This miracle in a bottle is called “Sheer Lacquer Micro-fine Finishing Spray.” This stuff has the consistency of air, but somehow, it magically holds your style in place! No stickiness whatsoever! And it really holds! It is a bit pricey, it’s around $30, but it comes in a big old can. Unfortunately, it’s not up for sale yet on the Shu Uemura site. I bought it at my salon. But, I did find it for sale online. http://www.jaymichael.com/035-shu-uemura.htm
