Why You Are An “It Girl”
To me an “It Girl” is someone who has figured it out.  Life is short and fragile.  We women are intuitive creatures.  If we really listen to our 6th sense, we can find true happiness and great success by following this inner passion.  I was fortunate to find this passion and then listen to myself.  Here is a little more about me, Barrie Lynn – The Cheese Impresario and how she followed her true passion to true happiness.

I am a former advertising executive who always loved food, wine and entertaining.  I have been a dedicated member of Slow Food for years and took a client to a fund-raiser to benefit Slow Food.  It was an artisanal cheese tasting event and I literally flipped out!  The flavors, the cheesemakers who take total pride in what they produce and the diversity of cheeses inspired me to invent The Cheese Impresario, from pure passion for artisanal cheeses. Much of my life is now dedicated to introducing these amazing cheeses to a wider audience along with the beverages and accoutrements that pair with them so beautifully.  I’ve included a link to The Cheese Impresario Web-site so you can see what I’ve been up to following my passion for artisanal cheese.  My latest passion is the cheese made by the artisan cheesemakers of Wisconsin in their family creameries.  www.thecheeseimpresario.com

I write the “Cheese Matters” monthly column in The Beverly Hills Times, and has been featured in USA TODAY, VARIETY, The Hollywood Reporter, Daily Candy, the popular food blog EatingLA and Ben Adair’s “Pacific Drift” on KPCC 83.9 FM in Los Angeles and E! Entertainment. The inclusion of her personally hosted Artisanal Cheese & Wine Tasting Adventures in the Oscars and Emmy Gift Baskets as well as the Golden Globe Awards Celebrity Retreat has attracted celebrities who include Mira Sorvino, Oscar winners Three 6 Mafia and Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Jeff Garlin. Barrie Lynn – The Cheese Impresario produces and stages cheese events at unique venues and wine festivals throughout the country.

What Inspires Her?
The amazing creative and brave women I meet who are following their dreams.

Who does she consider an “It Girl”?
Kathleen Wilson.
Kathleen is one of those women I’ve been speaking about except she followed her passion from dealing with a serious illness.  Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) over ten years ago Kathleen used her brains and founded MSWorld http://www.msworld.org/html/, now recognized as THE website helping people with MS.  Kathleen was awarded the 2006 National Achievement Award presented by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  This is the most prestigious award given to people helping people with MS.  Kathleen is one of only 11 winners who have been honored with this award since the 1940’s.
