A candy store just for us grown-ups...
With its mid-century-modern aesthetic New York City’s Chocolate Bar is a candy store for grown-ups. Partners Alison Nelson and Matt Lewis hatched the plan after learning they shared a passion for coffee and chocolate, and stocked their twelve-seat shop with dark-chocolate-covered peanut-butter-and-jelly bars made by local bakers and confectioners like Jacques Torres, who supplies six flavors of iced and hot chocolate. This dark chocolate filled with ground espresso beans bar, which is inspired by the memory of the late, great East Village rock club, CBGB’s is your best friend after a long night of rock star fun! If you are in Manhattan take a trip to the store itself, it’s a great place to people watch too!
