Her father, Andrew Lloyd Webber, may have conquered Broadway with his music, but Imogen Lloyd Webber is conquering the hearts of women around the world with her sassy guide to surviving the ups and downs of singledom. The producer and writer, 30, can now add “author” to her list of accomplishments with the release of her new book “The Single Girl’s Survival Guide” (Skyhorse, $17.95). Imogen’s witty and irreverent look at everything from how to handle office parties to the best way to pick up men has some people calling her the British Carrie Bradshaw, but we here at Sassy Bean call her our It Girl. We asked Imogen a few questions about what makes her tick:
Q: What inspires you?
A: My mother, Manhattan, modern day statistics – there’s a divorce rate of almost 1 in 2. In the United States, 95.7 million residents over the age of 15 are unmarried and single, which is about 43% of the US population. And 54% of single Americans are female.
Q: Who are your own personal It Girls?
A: Madonna, Elizabeth I, Elizabeth II, JK Rowling, Oprah, Barbara Walters, Tyra Banks, and Anna Wintour.
Q: What are your It Girl picks, the products you can’t live without?
A: Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch Highlighter), Vaseline for my lips, Maybelline mascara, 5 inch heels for the nights you know you are going to bump into your ex-boyfriend, my Victoria’s Secret “Very Sexy” bras.
