Okay, so once you finally really and truly do get the kids to bed for real…well, you’re a little wiped yourself and need to veg right? That’s where the absolute best trash on the tube comes in as mommy’s little helper. Some of our current favs include;

+The Hills – Never mind being young, beautiful and rich with loads of great opportunities in front of you. The twenties are all about the angst. With the most “in” clubs and restaurants in LA as backdrop for some good old-fashioned catfights…hello, who can resist? Style Quotient **** Four stars this season. The girls all got trainers. Some got ‘um a bit more too. Also, the level of hygiene seems decidedly higher as everyone’s hair looks more clean and coiffed. The makeup is not at all smeary like last season, and we love those dark nails girls!

+Newport Coast – This show has an even better looking cast than “Laguna Beach” the show it replaced. Just for the record, I did not drive a Range Rover in High School but would have liked to. Of course, my friends were more loyal, so at least I had that going for me. Style Quotient *One star. The kids are lovely, but they are in high school and dress like it.

+The Real Housewives of Orange County – Wow, they really deal with the same issues we all do except in really, really big Mediterean style homes in a really, really gorgeous and warm location. Style Quotient***Three stars. We love things key to the OC look like, Louis Vuitton bags, Juicy Couture pieces, and especially that crazy halter top with the medallion in the center that they all love to wear on this show.

+Nip/Tuck – I can hardly wait for this dirty drama to come back, and this season they’re moving to LA!  Should be especially sordid. I feel like a need a Silkwood type shower after every episode, don’t you? Style Quotient*One star. People aren’t actually wearing clothes much on this show.

+Workout – Jackie Warner is my favorite lesbian gym owner/entrepreneur/workout wear designer in the whole world. She’s just so real, and has a big heart. She isn’t afraid to tackle her own issues, or go after her dreams in the real world. This show is inspiring for anyone. Style Quotient**Two stars. They don’t really wear a lot of clothes outside the gym on this show. However, that brought up a very important point which Jackie tackled in launching her clothing line last season. Workout wear needs to be able to take it to the street, or grocery store, or school pickup line, etc.

+Lipstick Jungle – It’s going to be so exciting to have our girl Candance Bushnell back with a new drama about gorgeous people in Manhattan finding themselves in the most compromising positions. Gosh, makes a night at the PTO feel non-threatening by comparison. Style Quotient TBD But looks promising. The shots with Brooke Shields that have been released so far look gorgeous. Also, the fact that it’s highly unlikely the people behind “Sex and the City” are going to miss anything on the style front.
