Why She’s An “It Girl”:
I launched an online magazine – www.BagTrends.com – while completing my final semester at NYU. Three years later, my site has been mentioned in The Wall St. Journal, Lucky, Women’s Wear Daily and NewYorkmag.com, to name just a few. And I’ve become The Bag Guru contributing and been quoted in numerous publication and appearing on HSN, VH-1 and ABC NOW.

What Inspires Her?
The thrill of being an entrepreneur and knowing every step I climb is because of a brick I laid down for myself. There’s nothing like knowing that my fate is in my hands. Also, I absolutely love what I do and I feel an internal fire to work harder. I’m also extremely inspired by other female entrepreneurs like Tina Aldatz Norris founder of FootPetals and handbag designer Rebecca Minkoff.

It Girl picks: [beauty products, things she cannot do without]
Two great bags. A structured day bag like my Lulu Guinness Hilary bag in red; and a great day-to-evening clutch like my Rebecca Minkoff
Bobbie Brown under eye corrector and concealer – it makes my eyes pop!
Bourjois Effet 3D High Shine Lip Gloss in Rose Idyllic
Glomineral mascara curler
Dior eyeshadow pallet of the season – they have the longest staying power.
My handwritten planner – I can’t do the blackberry thing. It’s just not me. I’m a pen and paper gal.

Who does she consider an “It Girl”?

Gosh, there are so many, but anyone who believes in themselves and doesn’t take no for an answer. An it girl isn’t necessarily someone who’s composed or secure all the time, but it is the girl who knows that she has it within her to persevere. She’s ambitious, generous, a great networker and a visionary. Some it girls in my life are:
Zandile Blay, a friend and fashion writer with a big heart, big dreams and the drive to see them through; Kathryn Finney, The Budget Fashionista, she’s really carved a fabulous niche for herself and with her success she is still very generous and giving and a pleasure to be around; handbag designer Rebecca Minkoff who’s exploded in the last two years because of her smart planning, her skills and her networking. Like I said I have the pleasure of knowing and being inspired by many wonderful women. My biggest it gal is my mother because she’s been able to manage a career, a home and a family with style and a big heart. She helps me see the bigger picture of life and how to acknowledge all of my accomplishments – professional and personal.

www.BagTrends.com – my online magazine www.SHOPBagTrends.com – online shop

I’ll be appearing in mid December on VH-1’s The Fabulous Life Of Outrageous Celebrity Splurges 2007 naturally to chat about bags.
More bag-a-licious sighting and endeavors to come!
