Where To Find Great Men

Valentine's Day is over, but that doesn't mean you can't find love! Now is better than ever...

Contrary to popular belief, you aren’t likely to meet your other half at a bar or a club. In fact, research shows that you’re more likely to meet Mr. Right on your way to the grocery store than you are at the hottest place in town. Here are a few other not-so-obvious places to find the man of your dreams:

On errands. You never know when you’re going to bump into your soul mate, but the odds are that it will likely happen when you least expect it-- i.e., on your way to the bank. This means that it is important to look decent no matter where you are going, even if you’re leaving your place for just a few minutes. No need to get all dolled up for a trip to the dry cleaner’s, but just make sure that you look good enough to act confident around whomever you run into.

In lines. When you are waiting in line, you have a captive audience, so take advantage of it! Strike up a conversation with your fellow line-waiters whenever you find yourself queing up. Make a comment about what you’re buying in order to break the ice.

Public transportation. Where can you find attractive, busy professionals? On the subway (or bus, or train, or in a taxi)!

Volunteering. If you are a do-gooder and want to find someone equally selfless, volunteering opportunities and charity events are a great way to start. Not the soup kitchen type? Try it out. Worst comes to worst, you’ve done something nice for your community.

Gadget stores. After work and especially on the weekends, these stores are packed with guys getting in touch with their inner children. Stores like Brookstone, Sharper Image, and Apple have plenty of gadgets on display for you to play with, creating great conversation opportunities.

Public transportation is a good place to find me, but the only volunteering I do is at the elementary school early in the morning when you’re probably at work. I don’t go to gadget stores though.. don’t waste your time in those. When I’m running errands like buying batteries from the store, I’m on a mission baby, so don’t get in my way or you’ll get knocked over :D I’m cool to chat in lines. I don’t know why we have them anyways besides talking to strangers! Hope that helps baby.. lata!
